Behind the Wheel Accident Avoidance Training
SKILLS Teen School is a behind-the-wheel accident avoidance driving course that gives new drivers the knowledge and experience to succeed in emergency situations. Both educational and fun, SKILLS goes beyond the scope of Drivers Ed programs through hands on training. Headquartered at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, we offer a safe, closed venue to help students build confidence operating vehicles. SKILLS instructors teach correct responses to real-life driving scenarios. Students spend the day mastering these techniques behind the wheel! With car accidents being the #1 killer of teenagers today, The SKILLS Teen Day One is a must for new drivers.
Day 1
SKILLS Teen School Day One uses various exercises that demonstrate how drivers can utilize vehicle dynamics to their advantage. Knowing what you can and cannot do with a car is the first step to becoming a better defensive driver. We can take overconfident drivers down to a reasonable level and bring unconfident drivers to a comfortable level. Teens practice these rigorous vehicle exercises all day behind-the-wheel of a car, NOT in a classroom.
Day 2
The SKILLS Teen School Day Two takes the basics of SKILLS Day 1 and kicks everything up a notch. Additionally, more exercises are added to the mix to continue the learning curve and teach accident avoidance techniques to drivers. Texting awareness, situational awareness and lots of Skid Pad work is attacked in Day Two. Day One is a pre-requisite for Day Two.
